Weird Pokemon Red Version Glitch?

Well when they made the game they used a ton of codes and crypts so one of those codes in the panel could be jacked up by dirt or dust in the treads of the gameboy color (assumeing thats what your using) or it the game itself. Ususally when stuff like this happens to me i take out the game blow in it to try to clean it. Also, talk to your friend and see if he ever used a gameshark or other cheat machine. those can do some weird stuff to your game. If all in all fails, and you still wanna play it, im sure you could find a decent copy on ebay or gamestop, etc.
