Which Plotline should I use to write a novel for NaNoWrimo 2011?

Definitely the second one - the first is far too dramatic and too many bad things happen to the character - people wouldn't feel sorry for her, they'd end up not caring but NaNo is about enjoying your writing and other people rarely see a nano book.
